18 years ago today I left home to study abroad in Salamanca, Spain. It was then that I truly began to understand the beauty of slow travel. I discovered the magic of expecting the wild and embracing the unknown.
I even met my husband Daniel on that trip, and we continued exploring the world to our own unhurried tempo. We leaned into intentional immersion versus bucket list agendas–19 days at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, two weeks in Oaxaca, three weeks roadtripping up the Costa Brava, and so on. We’re still at it four keiki later!
Now, after inspiring many families to take the leap and buy the plane tickets, we’re here to help countless more plan the trip of their dreams.
