Where to Stay in Southern Oregon with Kids: Cedar Bloom Farm

  1. Cedar Bloom Farm is honestly one of the most breathtaking properties that we’ve ever been fortunate enough to set foot upon. Truth be told, this is 100 acres of what dreams are made of. Cozy A-frame cabins average $95 per night, however several types of accommodations are available including tent camping and RV parking. See all of the options and book your stay here.
  2. Why stay at Cedar Bloom Farm? If I could return here every single year I certainly would. In fact, our whole family feels the same way and we are determined to make it happen. If roaming through meadows, rambling through forests, playing in the river, and bathing outdoors are your cup of tea then this is the place for you.
  3. What is the parking situation like? There is plenty of parking throughout the property including right next to each A-frame cabin.
  4. What is the indoor layout like? The A-frame cabins are super cozy at 1000 square feet each. Two twin beds take up the interior space and that’s about it. To check out the other accommodation options take a look on their Hipcamp page.
  5. What is the outdoor space like? The land is difficult to describe because there’s magic in every direction. The boys had the time of their life running through the tall trees of the forest and scootering through the wide open meadows. Then they absolutely loved charging down the path to the river and exploring along the water’s edge. There also happened to be a variety of outdoor gathering spaces, a feature that made for the perfect way to begin and end our days together.
  6. Tell me about the amenities. Think of this as a camp experience–bring in your own food, towels, and toiletries. This is a pack it in and pack it out environment. Once you have these basics covered then the tradeoff is truly invaluable. There’s a several outdoor shower options, a few outdoor bathtubs with epic views of the river, and a sauna that you won’t want to miss. Last but not least, there’s a lovely composting toilet known as the “Honeydew Station”–let’s just say it set the bar high for all of my future composting toilet experiences.
  7. What’s within a 10-minute walk? Everything you would ever need to feel wild and free, to recharge and renew yourself. In addition to the shower house, bath tubs, and sauna there’s a mile of river frontage encompassing three swim spots.
  8. What’s within a 10-minute drive? All of Junction City, including grocery stores and small restaurants.
  9. Insider advice: Come prepared with supplies to enjoy your evenings with e.g. headlamps, blankets, s’mores ingredients, etc. Firewood is available for purchase at the camp store.
  10. Fun fact: You will learn to appreciate the value of a good deck here. Each A-frame has its own deck perfect for reading, yoga, you name it. Perhaps even better, the shower house and sauna also feature beautiful deck spaces overlooking the river. These decks are anything but ordinary and you’ll see what I mean when you get here!
