When we reach the end of 2022 I realized that we will have spent over a quarter of the year traveling. That's a lot of time spent in vacation rentals! Here's what we look for when booking accommodations...
1. Location--is the rental or hotel in an area that we want to spend a lot of our time in? Are there eateries, shops, and sights within a 10-15 minute walk (or 5-10 minute drive)?

2. Style--does the space delight and inspire us? We love a good home base when we travel so we have every reason to make sure that it's easy on the eyes.

3. Family-friendly amenities--does the property offer a full kitchen and onsite laundry? Perhaps even a dishwasher if we're lucky? These are two things that definitely make family travel more manageable.

5. Last but not least, of course price is a factor. I evaluate the property across the previous four categories and weigh them against our budget. I will always prioritize location because it's so worth it to be close to what we want to see, eat, and do.
